Students who have completed the Norwegian primary and lower secondary school (grunnskolen) or the equivalent, have the right to attend upper secondary school (videregående) as long as they have legal residency in Norway. This right is applicable through the calendar year the student becomes 24 years of age, i.e. the student must complete DP2(Vg3) the school year he/she turns 24 years old.
